Habitat & Range
Sumatran tigers live on an island called Sumatra of the Malaysian peninsula. There are not a lot of people on the island so they kill the Sumatran animals for pillows, blankets, and meat to eat. The Sumatran tiger is the most endangered on the island but the easiest to find in the wild.
Predators
Due to the size and power of the Sumatran tiger, it has no natural predators in its native environment. Humans that hunt the Sumatran tiger, and habitat loss are the only threats to the Sumatran tiger. Humans are its predator. The humans want its fur to sell for money.
Behavior
The tiger hunts in its off time so they can eat and feed their young. They have young and they guard there home at night to protect there territory from other animals and humans. They also run from humans when the humans spot them in the wild. The males hunt while the females stay home and watch there baby or baby's.
Defense Mechanisms
The Sumatran Tiger can get away from its predators by running 60 mph. They also use there claws. There kicking is to get away from humans that chase them. They can also use their length and speed to run faster then the human or lose the human by hiding from the human.

The main threats to Sumatran tigers are poaching, hunters traps, or shooting them for there skin and sometimes bones to use for an Asian medicine. They will use there arrows to shoot them or cut down trees to kill or ruin there homes in the wild for there bones, meat, and skin.
